Artificial Intelligence that answers to your data, not hype

We are a small, focused team in Northern Ireland. We build machine learning models and data pipelines for companies that have a specific problem and want a specific answer. No dashboards full of vanity metrics. No six-month discovery phases.

Four things we do well

We have deliberately kept our scope narrow. These four areas are where we have the deepest experience and the most honest track record.

Predictive models

Demand forecasting, churn prediction, pricing optimisation. We train models on your historical data, validate them against hold-out sets, and deploy them behind a simple API your existing systems can call. Typical turnaround: four to eight weeks from first data handover to production.

Data engineering

Before any model can work, the data has to be clean, joined, and flowing reliably. We build ETL pipelines, reconcile messy source systems, and set up monitoring so you know when something breaks before your customers do.

Document intelligence

Invoices, contracts, medical reports, planning applications: we build extraction pipelines that pull structured data from unstructured documents. OCR plus NLP plus validation rules, packaged as a service your team can actually use without training.

Technical audits

Already have an AI project that is not delivering? We review the model architecture, the data pipeline, and the evaluation methodology. You get a written report within two weeks, with concrete recommendations ranked by effort and impact.

Who we are

Logical AI Systems started in 2021 when two data scientists got tired of watching good projects die in proof-of-concept limbo. We wanted a company that ships working systems, not slide decks.

Our office is on Ferry Road in Cronin-le-Murazik. The team is five people: two ML engineers, one data engineer, one full-stack developer, and one project manager who used to run operations at a logistics firm. That last part matters, because she knows what "production-ready" actually means to a business that runs on tight margins.

We take on three to five projects at a time. We say no to work that does not fit our skill set, and we refer you to someone who can help when that happens.

Five steps from problem to production

Problem definition

We meet for 90 minutes. You describe the business problem, we ask about your data. By the end we have a one-page brief that both sides agree on. If we think AI is the wrong tool, we say so here.

Data assessment

We get access to a sample of your data, usually under NDA. Within a week we report back: what is usable, what is missing, and what the realistic accuracy ceiling looks like.

Model development

We build, test, and iterate. You see weekly progress updates with real metrics, not just "we are making progress." If a model is not going to hit the target, we flag it early.

Integration

The model gets wrapped in an API or embedded into your existing workflow. We handle deployment, monitoring, and the first round of retraining once live data starts flowing.

Handover and support

Documentation, knowledge transfer, and a three-month support window. After that, you can run it yourself or keep us on a lightweight retainer for model updates and drift monitoring.

What the work actually produced

These figures come from four projects completed between 2023 and 2025. We can discuss the details under NDA if you are evaluating us for a similar scope.

Things people ask before signing

Most of our projects fall between £15,000 and £60,000. The range depends on data complexity and integration requirements. We quote fixed prices after the data assessment step, so there are no surprises once development starts.

Yes. About half our clients are elsewhere in the UK, and we have done two projects for companies in the Republic of Ireland. We work remotely by default and travel for kick-off meetings and handovers when needed.

That is the normal starting point, not the exception. The data assessment step exists specifically to map out gaps and quality issues. Sometimes we can work around missing fields; other times we recommend a short data collection phase before modelling begins.

We have production experience with AWS and Azure. If you have a strong preference or an existing cloud contract, we work within that. For smaller projects we sometimes deploy on a single managed server with Docker, which keeps hosting costs low.

Absolutely. We have a standard mutual NDA we can send over the same day. If your legal team has their own template, we are happy to review and sign that instead.

We set a minimum performance threshold at the start. If we cannot hit it after a reasonable number of iterations, we stop the project and you only pay for the work completed up to that point. This has happened once in four years, and the client appreciated the honesty.
